As a non-congregant, attending services only on occasion, I have always felt warmly welcomed at St John's. And Father Dave's homily is always thought provoking and soul searching.

Ten years ago my family were looking for a church home in Wausau, Wisconsin. While we looked at a number of traditions, we found ourselves drawn to St John's. The congregation is small and intimate, friendly, open and caring. There has always been opportunity, but no pressure to find ways to live out our faith. We have become more involved over the years and have enjoyed seeing this community continue to thrive and to grow.
The church building is gorgeous, the courtyard is well maintained and well used. I have even taken advantage of the chapel that is open 24 hours a day, year round for quiet reflection.
Even with a small congregation, they have many services (each including the Eucharist) during the week - three on Sunday, Wednesday around noon and Thursday evening. Fr David Klutterman is very available to talk individually and welcomes everyone on Sundays outside the sanctuary even on cold winter mornings. We couldn't have asked for a better place to worship in Wausau.Added September 13, 2016 by Dale Burgess
